Did anybody do anything, somewhere, sometime or not? Is anyone doing anything now? For the betterment of democracy, or some bleak nano future?
Did they do it or didn't they? And who, by the way? The towers did fall, the Pentagon was hit ... but what plane crashed if any? The information on what happened on that fateful day being so overwhelming, puzzling and now and then baffling, I didn't read or see it all, which goes almost without saying; what's worse is that I undoubtedly do not understand all the pieces that came my way. I know just about nothing about structural engineering and high-rise demolition techniques do definitely not belong to the list of my hobbies.
On the other hand I don't know that ignorance has ever prevented anybody from uttering absurdities, the more senseless, the louder usually: why not me?

To begin with, I don't see why some "cave" arabs couldn't have done it. As far as I know, our civilization originates in those caves, or their whereabouts, and, maybe, that ought to tell us something. Furthermore I don't believe that David cannot fall Goliath, it has already been done; without going back to biblical times, think of ... Viet Nam ... Algeria ... Cuba ... Think of the manner in which Ibn Saoud, founder of the modern Saudi Arabian state (and most of the designated terrorists were Saudis if they were anything), fought his way to power in the early twentieth century.
Those were times, not so long ago, when the Middle East made a very convincing Far West. Bygone days?

So, as far as I know, Al Quaeda might have done it and Arabs probably died doing it, and the US government had a commission investigate the matter and ... it simply doesn't add up. Too much secrecy. Too many coincidences, too many historical reminiscences, far too much circumstancial evidence. In french one could say, "WTC, ça tombe bien*": no air defence, outdated and probably ruinous office buildings, Bush's brother involvement with the security of the compound, outspoken PNAC's plans ... We may never know for sure who did what and how; but what took place in the aftermath of 911 is crystal clear which is why I believe curious minds and concerned citizens from all over this "american" world should strive to investigate themselves.

Truth matters of course (would anyone tell me exactly where it actually does) and searching even more, but wouldn't it be entertaining to have Bush impeached for something he did not do, be the real culprits the usual suspects, CIA, oil industry and their likes, or some ordinary lizards from outer space.
Now, wouldn't that set quite a landmark for a new era, the u-turn of the screw!
